Kevin Durant Takes Direct Shot At His Haters

Loathe him or love him, there’s no doubt that Durant is a top 20 player of all time. 2 titles, 2 Finals MVPs, 1 regular MVP, 4 scoring titles and a career average of 27.2 points a game are spectacular credentials and there’s no doubt that going to the Golden State Warriors was the right decision for him as a basketball player.

Because of the manner in which he left the team that drafted him (OKC) many people have a problem with Durant. His Thunder was up 3-1 against the Warriors in 2016 in the Western Conference Finals but lost in 7 games. Many people see it as an extremely weak move to go to the team that beat you when you were so close to beating them, especially since the team Durant joined just had a 73 win season and 3 other All-Stars on the roster.

The Warriors have dominated the NBA ever since and look set to win their 3rd title in a row this year. As for Durant, it seems as though he doesn’t care what his haters think. He was interviewed by noted NBA journalist Chris Haynes and had a few choice words for his critics.

“You don’t like that I play for the Warriors, and you don’t like that I’m so f*cking good at basketball.”

This was just one part and Durant does have a point. When you’re as good and as well known as Durant you will always have haters, that’s just how it is and you just have to get used to it.
