Klay Thompson Praises Jordan Poole: “I’m Not Surprised By His Growth Because He’s An Extremely Hard Worker And He’s Only Going To Get Better. The Kid Is Only 22."

Klay Thompson returned to action earlier this month after a long two-year absence from the court. The Golden State Warriors star landed at a great moment since the Dubs are competing for the top spot in the Western Conference standings and the league-best record this campaign.

The Warriors struggled in the past two seasons to win games, missing the playoffs in each campaign. Now, they are looking like the dangerous team they used to be, and Klay's return only benefitted them. While some were happy with Thompson's comeback, others had to adjust to a new role with the Splash Brother on the lineup.

Jordan Poole was the starting shooting guard until Klay returned, and once the veteran returned, Poole had some issues adapting to his new role. Steve Kerr said that the only thing that mattered was people giving their everything every night, either they start games or come off the bench.

Everybody on the team has high expectations for Poole's career, including Klay, who has nothing but good words to say about the 22-year-old. Jordan had a good game against the Dallas Mavericks, dropping 17 points during the Dubs' 130-92 win. Following the game, Klay praised Poole and his work ethic, saying that he cares a lot about his game and how to play better.

“What I love about him is during his rookie season and even his second year, when he would have a tough night shooting or he was struggling with his jump shot, I would see him in the gym after games getting up a ton of jump shots,” Thompson told ClutchPoints.

“When you see a player care that much and you see him care about his performance, that’s what really impresses me,” Thompson said. “I’m not surprised by his growth because he’s an extremely hard worker and he’s only going to get better. The kid is only 22. He’s going to be really good for a really long time.”

Poole is a valuable piece for the present and the future of the Warriors. He's still young and has a lot of room to improve. Playing under players like Thompson and Stephen Curry, he surely learns one or two valuable things about winning.

He has big expectations for his career, including being named an All-Star and winning championships with the Dubs. There are many reasons why the Warriors should win the title this year and Poole is well aware of that. They have a big competition on the way to the Finals, but this squad can return to the top of the league in a couple of months.
