Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson will be a gametime decision today for Game 2 of the NBA Finals after suffering an injury at the hands of everybody's favorite Cavalier, J.R. Smith, in Game 1.
Thompson had to leave Game 1 early after Smith came crashing into his legs, going after a pass headed Thompson's way. Smith took out Klay from underneath, injuring his left ankle. Thompson eventually returned to finish out the game however.
Despite Klay's laid-back demeanour however, he says he was pissed off at how careless J.R. was going for the steal.
It's unknown whether Klay will make an appearance in Game 2, as his high left ankle sprain was subject to swelling and bruising as late as yesterday, with one half of the Splash Brothers even saying that if Game 2 was yesterday, he wouldn't be playing.
The Warriors medical staff are working around the clock however to make sure the four-time All-Star will be available for tonight's game.
