It’s great news for Warriors fans as Klay Thompson’s Dad has just leaked out where Klay will be playing for the next part of his career. Klay Thompson’s father, Mychal Thompson, has just removed all the speculation and mystery about what Klay will decide to play when he becomes a free agent in 2019.

According to Mychal Thompson in an interview with the San Francisco Chronicle, he stated that Klay will finish his career as a Warrior.

"Oh yeah, you can mark it down. Klay's going to retire in the Warriors' uniform," Thompson said. "He's going to play at Chase Center, and he's not going to be at Chase Center as a visiting player, he's going to be a Warrior for the next seven or eight years."

That’s great news for any Golden State fan who will now get to see possibly seven or eight more years of Klay running around the court wearing a Warriors jersey.

Mychal Thompson also had an NBA career himself, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers for a total of 13 years. The Lakers have become a possible destination for his son Klay but after the amount of success he has having at Golden State alongside other stars in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant, it’s hard to see any reason why he would want to move anywhere else.

Money doesn’t seem to be something that will have Klay ready to make a big move next offseason, success seems to be the focus for the sharpshooter as he aims for his fourth championship in the NBA in the 2018-2019 season.

Plenty can happen in a year but unless anything drastic happens, you can expect to see Klay Thompson being a Warrior for life.
