There is no mistaking it anymore: the Lakers are good. The Lakers are very good.
After years of subpar seasons (some of the worst in franchise history), the Lakers paired LeBron James with Anthony Davis, hoping it'd be enough to finally get them on the right track.
Their new-look roster has been everything they've hoped it'd be. LeBron is looking 5 years younger, Davis is playing with a renewed passion, and their supporting cast of role-players are stepping up in the big moments.
Still, there is perhaps no greater measure of a team's Championship performance than their ability to win on the road. And yes, the Lakers are doing that, as well.
As L.A. sets a pace that hasn't been matched in decades, one has to wonder who else could possibly stand in their way.
Are the Clippers and Bucks really good enough to overcome the juggernaut that is the Lakers right now? That's something only time will tell. For now, we'll just continue to watch and wait.
