Damian Lillard has always preached loyalty, and it’s hard to imagine him ever leaving the Portland Trail Blazers.
Still, with all the drama that has surrounded the franchise of late, there is a sense that he might be closer than ever before to reconsidering his loyalty to the team.
On Instagram, he made a recent post that only helped fuel speculation, and many fans believe it’s a clue he might be seeking a trade to the Lakers.

For those that haven’t noticed, the picture seems to be of Dame at Staples Center, and the guy looks as happy as can be.
Obviously, Lillard has ties to the Lakers, thanks to the fact that he grew up in Oakland.
For years, Lakers Nation has been trying to lure him back — attempts have (obviously) been unsuccessful so far.
But with all the noise going on, and the Lakers ready to make some big changes, now could be the time for such a dream to become reality.
Of course, Dame’s post could have nothing to do with a move to L.A. After all, he has not yet publicly shown any indication he will ever leave Portland.
I won’t stop the fanbase from dreaming though… it never has before.
