Let the memes, rumors, and whispers begin.

Because, following the Lakers' 128-115 loss to the Pelicans, the team left without a win... but also without their head coach.

In a tweet by David M Grubb, the team bus departed from the arena without Luke Walton, only to have to turn around to pick him up soon after.

While stuff like this must happen all the time, how often does it happen to the head coach? Usually, he's a guy the team will typically notice, especially following a game.

And because this is the Lakers, it only makes the situation even more intense. The status of Walton's place with the team has never been more of a question lately, with the Lakers losing very winnable games, and in severe danger of missing out on the playoffs.

If this is any indication that he may be losing that locker room, it's yet another sign that his time is nearing its end.

For now, it should be counted as nothing more than a funny accident... but who knows, maybe there's something more going on there?
