Lakers fans, if you're looking for a sign, you've come to the right place.
Last night's 121-96 win over the Utah Jazz marked the team's tenth straight road win. And while no context is needed to appreciate the greatness of that stat, history may be hinting at great things to come for the Lakeshow.
The previous three times L.A. won 10 straight, they actually went on to the NBA Finals (1971-72, 1972-73, 1999-00).
After a disappointing campaign last year, nobody was sure what to expect from the re-vamped Lakers roster. Out of the gate, it seems they may just be the best team in the league.
LeBron and Anthony Davis are dominating on both ends of the floor, using their combined talent to lead the Lakers to glory. The role-players are stepping up and fulfilling their role, providing quality minutes to backup and support the star core.
If history is any indication as to how this season will end for the team, it may very well mean great things on the horizon.
