LaVar Ball has never been shy about sharing his expectations and predictions regarding the future of his family. he "spoke into existence" his son, Lonzo, getting drafted by the Lakers. Now, in New Orleans, he affirms that his son will help lead New Orleans into the postseason.
Despite his middle son, LiAngelo falling on hard times, LaVar made a bold prediction for him as well, and it involves uniting with Lonzo in New Orleans.
Unfortunately for Gelo, his NBA career took a turn for the worst when he was caught shoplifting in China. He was eventually let go and allowed to return to the states, but he suffered the consequences. UCLA practically dropped him, the world lost faith in him, and teams were no longer able to trust him. Aside from all of that, his game leaves much to be desired and is probably the lowest of all the three Ball brothers.
So far, there has not been a clear path set for Gelo's in his potential return to the NBA. He, just like LaVar and Big Baller Brand, have fallen out of the limelight.
It will be interesting to see if he can find his way back, and what kind of impact (if any) the drafting of LaMelo will have on the family. We'll just have to wait and see.
