When news broke that LeBron James was headed to the Los Angeles Lakers, questions and doubts immediately surfaced from the community, from the city, and from the media. Would LeBron really fit in? Would he ever be considered a real Laker?
A season and a half later, it's fair to say most of those questions have been answered now, as the Lakers find themselves in the midst of one of their best seasons ever.
“It starts with me and AD ... How our approach is both on and off the floor, and then it trickles down to everybody else. But everyone is an MVP. Everyone has a role on our team, and everyone is accepting their role and being an MVP in their role, and you can’t ask for more than that."
"I am a Laker. I’m definitely a Laker. I feel it and I’m happy as hell to be one,” James said.
Indeed, the Lakers are the Lakers again. They are winning with two superstars leading the way, and the whole world is watching.
The comparison to last season is night-and-day. And while Bron and the Lakeshow still have much to prove (especially in the postseason), they are certainly making a lot of noise as they dominate the league.
