LeBron James found himself facing backlash after posting a picture on Instagram with the caption "We been getting that Jewish money, Everything is Kosher," from 21 Savage's song "ASMR."

Some believe the lyrics insensitively play into Jewish stereotypes regarding money and are angry at James for insensitively posting it.

Today, he had to issue a public apology about the issue.

"Apologies, for sure, if I offended anyone," James told ESPN's Dave McMenamin. "That's not why I chose to share that lyric. I always [post lyrics]. That's what I do. I ride in my car, I listen to great music, and that was the byproduct of it. So I actually thought it was a compliment, and obviously, it wasn't through the lens of a lot of people. My apologies. It definitely was not the intent, obviously, to hurt anybody."

Behavior wise, LeBron has always conducted himself well. There’s never any off the court controversy or drama about his family is his actions, he’s always set a great example.

So to see a slip up like this from him is rare. But hey, we all make mistakes sometimes right? Now that he apologized, hopefully, everyone can move on and focus on the wild NBA season that lies ahead.
