For anyone that has been keeping up, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony are more than competitors on the basketball court: their friends.

After being drafted the same year, they've formed a life-long friendship that went viral during the infamous summer of the "Banana-boat" vacation for James, Wade, Anthony, and Paul.

Among many other amazing storylines was the battle between Bron and Melo in the series, who obviously have a deep respect and bond for each other.

Following L.A.'s win, in which Carmelo dropped 20 points on 45% shooting, Bron had some rather kind things to say about his long-time friend.

"It's very humbling and something we'll talk about long after our careers."

Bron finished with 38 points, 12 rebounds, and 8 assists on 61% shooting for the night and he was absolutely crucial in their victory.

They will look to take a 3-1 lead over Portland on Monday, but don't count on it being an easy affair. Melo and his cats over in the Black and Red have been battling for a win and they've already proven they can beat the Lakers when they're at their best.

This series is still far from over and there's plenty left to see form both Carmelo and Bron.
