As LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers begin their quest to repeat as NBA Champions, all eyes will be on the performance of their role-players and if they can step up to provide the team with the edge they need to win.
While the sample size is still too small to make judgments, LeBron James did recently express some major confidence in his teammates, noting that there were five guys who could score 20+ points.
“We can have four, maybe even five guys that can score in the 20s on any given night,” James told reporters.
On Christmas, 4 Lakers players scored at least 18 points, including LeBron, Davis, Harrell, and Schroder. Between them, Kyle Kuzma, and KCP, it's clear the Purple and Gold have no shortage of weapons on the offensive end. Defensively, they have already proven themselves to be among the best in the league.
While it won't be easy for the Lakeshow to rack up their second-straight title, it's becoming clear that they aren't going to fade into the shadows anytime soon.
