The journey hasn't stopped for the Los Angeles Lakers. They just won the NBA championship and now it's time to defend it in a league that will present the biggest competition we've seen in the last 10 years. The Lakers, though, will try to create another dynasty 20 years after Kobe and Shaq three-peated for the last time in the association.

In order to do so, they will need both LeBron James and Anthony Davis, who will hit free agency this offseason. Several teams have been linked with the Brow, who declined a contract extension offered by the Lakers earlier in the season, to try his luck in the free market. However, not everything looks bad for the Lakers; AD was caught on camera saying the Lakers were going to run it back next season, so that gives their fans hope to see the big man back with the team next season.

Everything gets better when we see that LeBron James urged AD to stay focused and stay on the same page as the rest of the team since they still have 'work to do.' According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, LeBron made it clear to AD that they were going to run it back and they needed to be in the best possible shape.

“We’ve got more work to do,” sources said James told Davis during their celebration in the locker room.

The Lakers will face a huge competition next season (wherever that may be) since this offseason could be very moved and some teams as the Warriors and the Nets will have their stars back on the court. As long as they have their magic duo on the roster, things will always look favorable for the purple and gold.
