In his 17th season, at 34-years-old, LeBron James is somehow still playing at an MVP level.

After putting up his third-straight triple-double, James took to Twitter to challenge those who doubted his capabilities entering the season.

In the past three games combined, James has 90 points, 33 rebounds, and 40 assists. The Lakers are 3-0 in this span.

With as much mileage as James has on his aging body, nobody was really expecting him to put on this type of performance. When he failed to reach the playoffs last season with the Lakers, many considered it the end of his reign atop the league.

The "best player" title was passed on to guys like Kawhi and Giannis, while James was left hung to dry in Los Angeles.

Call it a miracle, or just a result of his extraordinary work ethic, but LeBron has proved his time is not yet up. While the sample size is small, and there is much more of the season to be played, the King is an early candidate for MVP.

And if he can take the Lakers all the way come April and May, he may re-insert himself into the GOAT conversation.
