It seems like it's been nothing but one tragedy after another these days. Right as this COVID-19 pandemic nears its conclusion, the tragic and disturbing killing of George Flloyd (a Minneapolis black man) by police has caused nationwide riots and protests.

With public rage and outcry at an all-time high, the effects are being felt everywhere, even in the sports world.

LeBron James, being the cultural leader he is, is one of the latest to speak out on the tragedy.

This isn't the first time LeBron spoke up on big political/social issues. Back in 2014, he was part of the "I Can't Breathe" movement, in relation to the death of Eric Garner.

He has also spoken out against President Trump multiple times for his policies and controversial ideas.

Clearly, LeBron James isn't afraid to speak his mind, especially when he feels that "his" people are being oppressed. And for a guy that wields so much fame, fortune, and public attention, it's no wonder he has taken such an active role in the civil rights movement.
