LeBron James and the L.A. Lakers are just eight wins away from winning an NBA Championship. It's obviously a pivotal moment for the players and the franchise that will impact a lot of narratives going forward.

Many believe, however, that winning a title this year will mean even more given the death of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna back in January and the fact that the Lakers haven't won a Chip since he last led them there in 2009 and '10.

Interestingly enough, his 2009 title run does have some pretty similar parallels to this current postseason and many online have taken notice...

It doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it's certainly crazy to think about the similarities here. From the path to the Finals to the location of play, it seems the Lakers have been down this road before. But can they achieve the same result?

With LeBron and A.D., anything is possible for the Lakeshow. Though, as reality has proven time and time again, nothing is a guarantee in this league. And if the Lakers want to bring home a Chip, and honor Kobe that way, they'll have to be at the peak of their game. He would demand nothing less.
