Luke Walton Reveals Lonzo Could Be Out For The Rest Of The Season

Lonzo Ball

The Lakers' season is basically over, and apparently so is Lonzo's.

In a chat with the media on Friday, L.A. head coach Luke Walton stated that not only is the young point guard far from returning, but he might not even return this season at all.

This isn't Ball's first rodeo in the rehab department. He has suffered from a few nagging injuries during his short career already, a concerning thought for a team that needs as much production as they can get.

Ball has not played since suffering an ankle injury in a loss to the Rockets January 19, and the team has gone downhill ever since. He is an important part of the team, and his injury struggles are yet another thing the Lakers have to worry about.

At this point though, playing him even if he was healthy might not even be worth it. They're not close to making the playoffs, and LeBron has already been put on a minutes restriction.

Might as well just call it over for the Lakeshow this year, as they're clearly ready to wrap up what has been a rough few months.
