Forbes have recently revealed a Top 10 list of America’s wealthiest celebrities with Jordan ranked fourth with a net worth of $1.7 billion US dollars which is up $300 million from 2017. Michael Jordan was ranked the highest-rated sports figure in the list with Tiger Woods the next highest at $800 million.
Jordan is currently the franchise owner of the Charlotte Hornets who are 29th out of the 30 teams in Forbes list of NBA franchise values. According to Forbes, MJ’s worth is primarily from his Jordan brand sneakers company along with a 90 percent stake in the Charlotte Hornets.

Just behind His Airness but at little more than half the net worth ($900 million) is rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z. Forbes says the former Brooklyn Nets minority owner and founder of Roc Nation Sports agency saw his net worth climb $90 million in the last 12 months. Among Roc Nation's clients are Giants rookie running back Saquon Barkley, two-time NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant and Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku.
The only American celebrities that ranked above Michael Jordan in the list were Directors George Lucas and Steven Spielberg and television presenter Oprah Winfrey. Jordan is clearly in some pretty good company at the top of the very impressive list.
