Michael Jordan has picked his 'unbeatable' team and looking at the players he selected, it's fair to say that team is very close to being unbeatable. During an old interview in 2013 with NBA 2K, His Airness revealed his unbeatable starting five, featuring some of the greatest names in the history of the game.
He picked some friends and some of his biggest rivals on the court to create this team that would scare whoever is in front of them.
"In a pickup game, who would I pick up? What five guys would I pick up? Scottie Pippen, for sure, Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Hakeem Olajuwon. I got no chance of losing. None at all. Olajuwon; he was in the top 10 in five categories: steals, rebounds, blocked shots, scoring and shooting percentage. You know, to have a big guy this size to be in the top 10 in steals, now you can assume that he would in blocks, which to me shows versatility of what type of guy he really was."
Jordan would say the same six years later, during an interview with TODAY. He was asked if his response to that question was the same and he didn't change it (3:40).
"[I'd keep them] in a hard beat. I'm going into trenches. I played against and with all these guys, I'm going to who I know; every single night the responsibility to go out there and represent greatness every single night," MJ said.
Well, it seems like MJ is a fan of the classics and he's not changing that mentality anytime soon. He picked four great players that played with and against him so he knows that nobody can beat them, not even Shaquille O'Neal's unbeatable team.
