Episodes five and six of "The Last Dance" may have been the best ones yet.

Featuring new, never-before-seen footage on Jordan's journey and career, the latest slate of videos showed the late Kobe Bean Bryant. Amazingly, ESPN was able to get a sit-down with him before his death in January and he provided a really awesome perspective on his childhood idol, Michael Jordan.

On the other side, Michael Jordan revealed his thoughts on Kobe before his first faceoff with him in the 1998 All-Star game.

“That little Laker boy’s gonna take everybody one-on-one…he don’t let the game come to him. He just go out there and take it….I’m going to make this a one-on-one,” Jordan said in “The Last Dance.".

Mike didn't make much of The Mamba back then, but he actually held his own in the game that year, scoring 18 points and six rebounds in just 22 minutes on 7-16 shooting from the field.

Jordan won the ASG MVP with a 23-point, 8 rebound, and 6 assist performance.

While Jordan got the better of Kobe that game, Kobe went on to enjoy a stellar NBA career of his own with 18 All-Star selections, 5 NBA Championships, and an MVP win.

Jordan is retired and Kobe has, unfortunately, passed away. But for us hard-loving basketball fans, we can still enjoy their matchups and moments detailed in 'The Last Dance" to celebrate their extraordinary tenures in the NBA.
