The Golden State Warriors are relocating for the 2019-20 season, the franchise is moving to a new arena in San Francisco. As the franchise moves away from Oakland, three-time champion Steph Curry still remains with a lot of love for the city.

Steph Curry and his wife, Ayesha, recently attended the Oakland Block Party on Sunday which was hosted by rapper Mistah F.A.B.

According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, the Curry family attended the Oakland event for “a couple of hours” without the security personnel.

“Man, he is the greatest,” Mistah F.A.B. told The Undefeated. “He told me he was coming, but it’s nothing like him actually being here with his wife and no security. They trusted me and knew that I’d never let as much as a fingernail chip come off his hand.”

Mistah F.A.B. told The Undefeated just how much Steph means to the city and compared how much the two-time MVP means to Oakland to the great Michael Jordan.

“Man, the kids couldn’t believe he was there. He means as much if not more to Oakland than what Michael Jordan meant to Chicago.”

Steph Curry has been a one-team player for his entire career, the star guard has led the Warriors to five straight NBA Finals appearances where the franchise won a total of three championships. During that time, Curry won two MVP awards, one of which coming from a season that the Warriors had the incredible record of 73-9.

Along with attending Sunday’s party in Oakland, Curry teamed up with Mistah F.A.B in an outdoor game of streetball.
