NBA Analyst Emmanuel Acho Has A Controversial Take About Why Kevin Durant Can’t Reach Stephen Curry’s Level: "Stephen Curry Made Draymond Green And Klay Thompson First-Ballot Hall of Famers... Steph Curry Got Kevin Durant Two Finals MVP Trophies"

With the Golden State Warriors winning the 2022 NBA Championship, it has further solidified the legacies of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green in the NBA. The three players have been playing together for a long time and have won four rings together.

But out of those four rings, the credit for two of them goes to Kevin Durant. When KD joined the Dubs after the 2016 NBA Finals, the entire community of the NBA was shocked to its core. Two of the best players in the league joined forces together and formed a dynasty.

Anyway, the fact that the Warriors have won two rings with KD and two without him is why they regard Steph Curry more than him. After all, the Baby Face Assassin has proved that he can do it with or without Durant.

Obviously, it has led to many arguing that Curry has already surpassed Durant in the conversation of all-time greats. Recently, analyst Emmanuel Acho provided a great take to prove why that might be the case by comparing what Steph and Durant have done for others in their respective careers.

"What has Kevin Durant done for any basketball player that they couldn't have done for themselves? As opposed to what has Steph Curry done for basketball players that they couldn't have done for themselves. I'll start with Steph Curry. Steph Curry made Draymond Green, Klay Thompson first-ballot Hall of Famers. Steph Curry got Harrison Barnes a hundred million dollar deal. Steph Curry got Kevin Durant two finals trophies. I'm not talking about the MVPs, obviously, Kevin Durant did that for himself. Steph Curry made Steve Kerr the third winningest person associated with basketball in the history of the basketball association, behind only Phil Jackson and Bill Russell.

Think about what Steph Curry did for Andre Iguodala. Andre Iguodala was over the hill, past his prime, but Andre Iguodala becomes a Finals MVP. Let's talk right now about Andrew Wiggins. Andrew Wiggins goes from being a top-five bust of the modern generation to a top five two-way player. Think about what Steph has done for everybody. But think about what Kevin Durant has done for people.

Kevin Durant hasn't done anything for somebody they couldn't have done for themselves. ... KD hasn't actually done anything to enhance anybody's greatness. ... Steph Curry has cemented his passing of Kevin Durant on the all-time list. Not just because Steph Curry is great, but Steph Curry has made everybody around him greater."

This is one of the best points that we have seen any analyst make about why Steph should be ranked above KD in all-time debates.

What's more, is the fact that Curry still has a lot of fuel left in his tank. So there is a very good chance that he will add a couple more rings to his resume and get even further ahead of Kevin Durant in this debate.
