Since the deadline-day trade that sent him to New Orleans, Lonzo Ball and his family have been uncharacteristically quiet. Out of the bright lights of L.A., and given time to focus solely on basketball, the eldest Baller Brother is clearly taking some time to improve his craft.

Meanwhile, in Australia, LaMelo is lighting it up in Australia's NBL. The 6-foot-7 point guard is averaging 13 points, 5.7 assists, and 6.7 rebounds on 34% shooting this season. At 18-years-old, he is drawing league-wide attention from scouts, with some saying he might be the most talented prospect of the upcoming draft class.

“LaMelo Ball is the most talented prospect in the 2020 NBA draft class,” Schmitz wrote in his latest pre-draft scouring report for ESPN. “The 18-year-old is more than just a teenage internet icon with great highlights. He can flat-out play. “When you strip away the circus that has surrounded the Ball family, you’ll find a 6-foot-7 point guard with elite basketball instincts, uncanny creativity, an even on-court demeanor, unwavering confidence and natural talent with the ball that no other player in the 2020 draft class currently holds.”

Obviously, there is no telling how his talents will translate to the NBA until he gets there. At just 18-years-old, it's impossible to tell how high his ceiling really is.

Nevertheless, if he keeps this pace, he may just end up as the #1 overall pick in the 2020 Draft.
