NBA Fans Blast Patrick Beverley After He Called Out The Warriors' Defense: “47 Piece… Didn’t Happen In Our Series. Just Sayin.”

Patrick Beverle

Patrick Beverley is one of the most polarizing figures in the NBA today. Beverley is considered one of the toughest defenders in the league. But his reputation as a pest and an instigator leads to him catching a lot of flack from fans.

Beverley takes a lot of pride in his play, even when he and his team lose. His latest take on the series between the Golden State Warriors and the Memphis Grizzlies has garnered a lot of criticism.

Patrick Beverley took to Twitter to react to Ja Morant's incredible 47-point performance against the Golden State Warriors that helped the Grizzlies win Game 2 of the series.

Patrick Beverley noted that Ja Morant was not able to score 47 points against him and the Minnesota Timberwolves during their 6-game series in the first round. Clearly, Beverley was not too impressed with the way the Warriors guarded Ja.

47 piece... didn’t happen in our series. Just sayin

Fans were not happy with Beverley's comments, with most people responding that Beverley and the Timberwolves lost. And that while Morant never had the kind of scoring outburst he did against the Warriors, he was pivotal in the Grizzlies' series win over the Timberwolves.

Ja Morant will be hoping to have more performances like the one he did in Game 2. He and the Grizzlies have shown that they can beat the Warriors when given the chance, but they need to play their best basketball yet.

The Grizzlies and Warriors have both been playing a physical brand of basketball, which has led to a lot of casualties and controversy.

The ejection of Draymond Green from Game 1 and the injury to Gary Payton II caused by Dillon Brooks have shown that this series will feature physicality before a winner is crowned and advances to the next round of the playoffs.
