NBA Fans Debate Whether To Take $50,000 Cash Or A 2 Hour Dinner With Billionaire LeBron James: "Dinner Is Nice, LeBron Is Great, But 50k Are 50k"

LeBron James isn't featuring in these NBA Playoffs, but that doesn't stop him from being in the news all the time. The latest big news story to come out was from Forbes, which reported that LeBron is now a billionaire. As per the report, James has earned more than $900 million from endorsements and other business ventures to go with over $385 million from salaries in the NBA.

LeBron had stated in the past that it was his goal to be a billionaire and he has achieved it during his playing career, which is an incredible accomplishment. As the news broke out, an NBA analyst put out a question to NBA Twitter on what option would they choose between getting $50,000 or a 2-hour dinner with the billionaire?

"$50,000 cash — or a 2 hour dinner with billionaire LeBron James?"

It drew a variety of responses as you'd expect:

"If you take the cash, you have no self confidence, creativity or ambition"

"50k & im going to a lakers game next season"

"If you were given a choice been 50k cash or dinner with Lebron, which restaurant you choosing?"

"A 2hour dinner with BB i want to know how to get to a billion or 100 billion 💙🙏🏽🏁💪🏽💯"

"give me the bag . i believe i can turn that 50k to 6 figures!"

"Give me the $50,000 nothing I can take from Lebron at this point"

"Easy. Dinner w Lebron I can make 50K, i can't make Lebron"

"2 hours with the king!?!! No 🧠 brainer. I’m walking out that conversation with my vision so big it’ll add zeros to that amount. 💯"

"So I guess there are actual people on twitter who think they are one 2 hour dinner with Lebron away from financial enlightenment."

"cash not even a thought"

"50k unless Lebron feeling extra generous"

"Lebron easy"

"I’m talking with Lebron ‼️"

"I’ll take my chances talking to LeBron in the lockeroom!! 😂"

"$50k is nothing I want Lebron"

What would you choose? Picking the brain of a billionaire athlete for a couple of hours seems an interesting opportunity, but many would play it safe and just get the money here. As for LeBron, he'd have his eyes set on further growing his business empire and the King is going to remain in the public eye long after his retirement thanks to it.

We hope that retirement doesn't come anytime soon, however, as it is clear he still has a lot left in him after averaging 30 PPG this season. If the Lakers can fix up the mess they created this season, we'd hopefully see LeBron in the playoffs in 2023.
