NBA Fans React To Draymond Green's Stat Line In The Third Quarter Of Game 2 Against the Mavericks

Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals definitely did not start off as the Golden State Warriors and Draymond Green would have hoped. They fell behind by 19 points to the Dallas Mavericks at one point and were down 14, heading into half-time in what was shaping up as a disastrous outing.

With the lead still double digits midway through the third, Draymond picked up his 5th foul of the game and the coverage showed his stat line as Green headed to the bench. It is always said how stats don't do Draymond justice, as his impact on the game is much more than the numbers suggest, but that never stops fans from having some fun at his expense:

It was undoubtedly a rough game for Green, but he delivered when it mattered, as he managed to hit a big 3 in the fourth quarter to put the Warriors up 9 with just over 6 minutes remaining. Those were the only points he scored in the period, but it couldn't have come at a better time for Golden State who rallied to win the game in some style. He ended the game with a typical Draymond stat line of 6-5-6, but the Warriors wouldn't particularly care as they came out as the winners.

The result sees them take a 2-0 lead in the series and while the Mavericks did manage to overturn that same deficit against the Phoenix Suns; the Warriors are a different animal altogether. This was their one chance to make a series out of this by stealing a game on the road and they blew it despite an incredible first-half performance. As the series now shifts to Dallas, the Mavs have two must-win games to tackle, and losing even one all but ends the series and their hopes of a surprising NBA Finals run.
