We all knew it was coming eventually, but no one could have guessed that San Antonio Spurs and Argentinian legend Manu Ginobili would've been calling it quits on his career this week.

The 41-year-old decided to announce to the world yesterday that he would be retiring from the NBA for good on Twitter, leaving the Spurs void of every single member of the big three that made them so dominant during the 2000's.

Given Manu's extraordinary career -- four-time champion, two-time All-Star, two-time All-NBAer, and gold medallist -- he was bound to have an impact on some of the game's other players, and an outpouring of congratulations and thanks came thick and fast after the announcement.
