Tiger Woods is to golf what Michael Jordan is to basketball, there's no denying that. He's one of the greatest athletes of all time and a living legend.
Needless to say, Woods holds a great influence around the NBA, as most players enjoy golfing in their spare time and look up to him. In fact, he holds a close friendship with Michael Jordan, Dwyane Wade, and Stephen Curry; who some claim could have been a professional golfer.
That's why the Golden State Warriors superstar took the time to share his thoughts on his terrible car crash. Woods suffered a significant leg injury that could threaten his career but more than that, he could've even died due to the severity of that car crash. For Curry, all that matters is that he's safe now:
“Thankfully, he didn’t have any life-threatening injuries, but it’s just unfortunate and sad knowing all he’s been through these last couple years. Thankfully, he’s OK from what I hear. I don’t know too many details, but you just wish for a speedy recovery, because at this point, I’m a huge golf fan, you know that, and love watching him play and being on the tour and competing."
"At this point, it’s not about golf, it’s about his quality of life and being there for his kids. That’s the most important thing right now. Hopefully, he makes a full recovery to be there for them. He’s got a lot of life to live," Curry said.
Curry also took to Twitter to share his thoughts and prayers after this terrible situation, followed by Klay Thompson and Magic Johnson.
As for the rest of us, I think I speak for the rest of the sports community when I say that we hope he gets a speedy recovery and comes back stronger than ever.
