It's no secret that LaMelo Ball is playing his way into the 2020 NBA Draft.

Melo, the youngest of the infamous Ball-brother trio, is currently lighting up the NBL, averaging 17 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 7 assists per game on 37% shooting at just 18 years old.

The word on the street is, Cleveland already has their eye on him as not only a high draft pick but as the #1 overall pick this summer.

Like all teams, the Cavs have already started planning for the draft. They are scouting college teams and international clubs. They have extensively scouted potential No. 1 overall pick and basketball celebrity LaMelo Ball, currently playing in Australia.

For his shooting and playmaking abilities, LaMelo has generated a lot of interest by the media and league scouts, who feel like he can surpass his brother Lonzo.

Cleveland is clearly jumping in on that bandwagon -- but the problem? They have more than enough young talent in the backcourt. Collin Sexton and Darius Garland are already a questionable fit together, and it seems as if their development as players would be better suited apart than together.

If the Cavs are really considering Melo, they will surely have to deal at least one of their beloved backcourt partners.

It'll be interesting to see what they decide to do in the weeks and months to come.
