The summer has turned sour for the Boston Celtics, who are now on the verge of not only losing one All-Star but two. According to reports, Al Horford will look elsewhere for his 4-year deal this summer after early talks with Boston broke down.
With him and Kyrie headed for the door, Boston will have to look for their replacements.
They might already have someone in mind, according to The Athletic's Shams Charania...
Vucevic is fresh off the best season of his career. The 2019 All-Star posted career highs in games played (80), points per game (20.8) rebounds per game (12.0) and assists per game (3.8). Those numbers would certainly help the Celtics bolster their frontcourt following the departure of Aaron Baynes and Horford.
No matter how things transpire, this Celtics team will not be the one that played last season. No Kyrie, no Baynes, no Horford -- it will be Jayson Tatum's show in Boston. Perhaps that is what it should have been all along.
