As two of the biggest names on the market this summer, the world is holding their breath waiting for the decisions of Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard. And, in a new report by Adrian Wojnarowski, their future may actually be entangled with each other.
The possibility of Durant joining another superstar was always considered strong. There were rumors about him teaming up with LeBron and (more realistically) Kyrie Irving. Kawhi, though, would be the best teammate for Durant. Their contrasting game and personalities might mix well on the same roster.
For now, only the Clippers and Knicks are in contention to sign both. Both teams have cap space and have been connected to one of the stars since the start of summer. At this point, it will come down to what the pair decide to do this offseason. But the fact that they are having conversations about it means the possibility of them pairing up is very real.
