So much has been made about Durant's future with the Warriors -- or, better yet, lack thereof. You see, as he heads into his third Championship run with the squad, there is a sense around the association that the 10x All-Star is ready for a change.
Almost all of those reports have been met with the assumption that he is headed to New York.
Not only do the Knicks give Durant the spotlight, but they are the only franchise that can truly revive his legacy as a player.
In an appearance on The Herd, Bleacher Report's Ric Bucher all but confirmed the theories.
He explains that Durant has "never been truly embraced" by the Warriors' faithful, and never given the "just due" someone in his position usually gets. Bucher seems confident KD has had enough.
In New York, he would instantly be appreciated and beloved more than he ever has in Oakland.
As he and the Warriors embark on what could be their final postseason run, New York will evidently be waiting for his arrival, knowing he longs for something more than riding the coattails of Steph and Klay.
