Toronto point guard star Kyle Lowry might be on the verge of his exit from the Raptors. With the team seemingly considering a large-scale rebuild, rumor has it that the 14-year veteran been put on the trade block.
While Philadelphia was named as an early preference for Lowry, his agent, Mark Bartelstein, denied the rumors.
Lowry has become a fan favorite for the Raptors, thanks to his 9-year tenure with the franchise and his role in helping them win their first title in 2019.
But with the Raptors sitting 5th in the Conference, with a record of 16-17, they seem stuck in a rut that only significant change will help fix. As an experienced veteran, and knockdown shooter, Lowry can provide a major boost to any team he signs with -- including Philadelphia, who currently resides at the top spot in the East.
Needless to say, it seems Lowry might be staying put after all. What that will mean for the Raptors, though, remains to be seen.
