With the Boston Celtics in full pursuit of Kemba Walker, it is all but confirmed that Kyrie Irving has played his last game with the Celtics.
In fact, he may have already decided where he is going.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the All-Star is expected to reach a deal with the Nets as soon as possible.
In reaction to the coming of Irving, Brooklyn is going to work with their own point guard, D’Angelo Russell, on getting him to a team he wants.
As for Irving, the Nets provide him with a stable environment in one of the biggest markets in the league.
Although the Nets have their star, however, they will be seeking to add another star along with him. Kevin Durant is another name they have been hopeful for this summer, and it is likely he will at least consider the franchise — especially after the acquisition of Irving.
The Lakers, Clippers, and Knicks were hoping to grab a meeting with the NBA Champion, but it seems his mind is already made up.
