With the season quickly approaching, the Lakers have to make the best of their current situation. Following a devastating injury to one of their key players (DeMarcus Cousins), the team has been hard at work in finding a replacement.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, there are four primary candidates.

Unfortunately, only Mo Speights can really match DeMarcus' ability to stretch the floor. What they do provide is an inside paint-presence and rim protector. Still, their consideration by L.A. is drawing a lot of doubt by many.

Joakim Noah and Speights are not nearly who they once were. Dwight Howard and Marcin Gortat threaten the locker-room stability of the team, as both are known to be hot-headed in nature.

Regardless, it seems Rob Pelinka is set on acquiring a force on the inside -- any of the three mentioned above have the ability to do just that.
