Despite having Steph Curry, millions of dollars, and an admirable ownership group, Kevin Durant has decided to leave the Warriors behind after reportedly joining the Brooklyn Nets.
As is their typical fashion, they do not intend to stand P.A.T. with their loss.
According to a proposed scenario by Brian Windhorst, the Warriors could be in play for D'Angelo Russell.
With Durant headed to Brooklyn, it left room open for a sign-and-trade deal for the Warriors. They are going to send Durant in exchange for D'Angelo, who now is destined for a life outside of Brooklyn.
His fit with Golden State would be questionable considering their loaded backcourt, but something says they would make it work. The question now is if Russell would want to make that possibility a reality. The Warriors were not considered in contention for him before.
Nonetheless, they found a way to replace one star with another...
