Original Space Jam Director Joe Pytka Roasts Lebron James And His Space Jam Sequel- "He Ain't Michael Jordan."

Michael Jordan's "Space Jam" movie was released over 20 years ago, but it remains one of the most iconic sports films of the modern era.

LeBron James, being as ambitious as he is, boldly decided to re-create the journey through his own lens, birthing a sequel titled "Space Jam: A New Legacy."

While reviews on Bron's movie have been pretty mixed so far, one of the harshest critics came from the original Space Jam director himself. In a chat with TMZ, Joe Pytka took a shot a Bron and his most recent Hollywood work.

"I couldn't finish it in one sitting. The truth is that LeBron ain't Michael."

He even took a jab at Buggs Bunny's new an updated look:

"He looks like one of those fluffy dolls you buy at an airport gift shop to bring your kid when your business trip has taken too long."

There are plenty of people who enjoyed the movie, and it's a pretty big project, all things considered.

But Pytka isn't the only one who disliked it. In fact, the reviews have been pretty negative online, including this one by The New York Times:

“Several jokes actually stick. But the purposeful sensory overload mostly yields head-spinning stupefaction, leaving a viewer feeling like Wile E. Coyote after hitting a mesa wall.”

The simple fact is, there was something about the original Space Jam that made it work. And while "A New Legacy" is not a bad movie, it just doesn't seem to be hitting the same with fans.

But, who knows, maybe as more people watch it, and the excitement dies down, it will be more well-received by the masses.

Regardless, LeBron James did the best he could, and he seems proud of the way everything turned out.
