Ja Morant

The Memphis Grizzlies are a young fun team, led by star Ja Morant. They are a tough defensive-minded squad, with athleticism and length at most positions. They are well-known for breaking out into the contending scene this year, after being a play-in tier team last season.

One of the things that the Memphis Grizzlies are well-known for is trash-talking. There's no doubt that they are a team that isn't afraid to ruffle feathers, and Ja Morant previously supported Desmond Bane after he trash-talked LeBron James, claiming that he "loved it".

"All of us on our team pretty much grew up watching [James] play," Morant says later. "All of us are still fans of this guy. We know he's one of the greatest ever to touch a basketball, but inside those four lines, if you're buddy-buddy, you're lost. That's pretty much what went into it. Bron is a big-time competitor and Des is the same way.

"Seeing those guys go at it was funny to me. I loved it, because it just shows that no matter who it is, our guys don't back down."

Recently, the Memphis Grizzlies lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 114-119. After the game, Patrick Beverley decided to troll the Memphis Grizzlies squad, sarcastically pointing out that there was "no dancing or talking crazy" from the Memphis Grizzlies squad tonight.

Damn Memphis Grizz no dancing or talking crazzzy tonight huh... awwww ok Good Luck rest of the way

Patrick Beverley is also well-known around the league as a trash-talker, and it is clear that he took his opportunity to make a joke at the Memphis Grizzlies' expense after they lost to his squad.

The Memphis Grizzlies will likely be able to bounce back from this though, and they are still the third seed in the Western Conference. It will be interesting to see how well they do in the playoffs, and perhaps we'll end up seeing them face the Minnesota Timberwolves if the latter end up making it to the 6th seed. There is no doubt that that series would be must-watch TV.
