20-year-old Zion Williamson only played in 24 games for the 2019-20 NBA season, but the excitement and buzz surrounding his game hasn't been higher.

Speaking in a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, new Pelicans coach Stan Van Gundy explained a bit about his plans for the young star, which involve stints at every position.

“I don’t look at him in any way, as far as, ‘Is he a four or a five?’” Van Gundy explained to reporters. “I’m not sure those labels matter when it comes to him. I think as we study and try to get more definitive and talk to Zion about what he likes, I think it’s more what positions we want to put him in and who’s best around him and things like that. It’s not limiting him to a position.”

As the #1 overall pick in last summer's draft, Williamson has been projected to be the next generational superstar. And while he has yet to fulfill that destiny, he has gotten off to an impressive start that already has him in comparisons with Charles Barkley and LeBron James.

After averaging 22.5 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, he showed he is capable of putting up big numbers. But just how high is his ceiling? How far can he go?

With so many questions still on the table for the young star, it's good that he has a coach ready to believe in his game. Next season should be a big one for the reigning Rookie of the Year.
