LeBron James and his Los Angeles Lakers are set to enter a new NBA season in which they are seen as the biggest favorite to win the title, alongside city rivals Clippers. Following a season full of injuries and inconsistency, LeBron is ready to take it all next season and demonstrate why the Californians signed him last summer.

With the addition of Anthony Davis, James is expecting to take the franchise to the top of the league once again while proving that last season was a fluke and he’s still the best player on earth. As the new season approaches, many analysts want to give their opinion on what is going to happen next year.

ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne recently did it, stating that LeBron's silence this offseason is actually a good sign for the 3x NBA champion. On Wednesday’s edition of the ‘Stephen A. Show’, Shelburne talked about how wide-open the league is and that is not a clear favorite for the championship.

When she had the chance to talk about the Lakers, she said good things about LBJ.

“I wanna talk myself into ‘Revenge Lebron,’” Shelburne said. “I thought it would be the ultimate storyline, and the way that I can talk myself to that is by saying I haven’t been hearing from him except for on ‘taco Tuesdays.’ He is saying very little right now and that’s usually a good sign because is his recognition that last year was bad for everybody involved. He did not deliver, he did not stay healthy, he did not win and I think that he doesn’t feel good about the way last year went on a number of levels, from leadership, to on the court, to the way connected here in Los Angeles; essentially he did not connect here in Los Angeles.”

“He has a lot to make amends for, and instead of talking a lot, he’s just working and not saying much. So, I think that’s a good sign. I have also, though, just come off the end of the Kobe Bryant era, where Kobe Bryant did an incredible rehab, he did a whole movie about his comeback from an Achilles injury and everything there, and we all thought it was going to be ‘Revenge Kobe’ and his body just broke down on him.”

That’s one of the biggest fears of Lakers fans, not being able to enjoy LeBron at a high level, but last season he proved that he can still ball and that age is not a problem for him. Next year he’s going to have a better team and a hell of a partner in Anthony Davis, so James can take some rest during the regular season and unleash all his power when the playoffs arrive.
