Report: Jeff Teague To Miss 2-4 Weeks With Sprained MCL

With a record of 22-13, the Minnesota Timberwolves are starting to finally turn things around. But in their effort to keep that streak going, they'll have to do it without their starting point guard, Jeff Teague.Jeff Teague

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski and additional sources have reported that the Minnesota PG will be out for some time after being diagnosed with a sprained left knee. As of now, the team doesn't expect him back for another 2-4 weeks.

The good news, though, is that Teague, 29, underwent an MRI exam on Thursday, which revealed no structural damage.

"It's about as good as you can hope for," coach Tom Thibodeau said. "No structural damage. He didn't have much swelling. He was walking around today."

If anything, it looks as if the point guard is already back on the mend. And with as much value as he brings to both sides of the floor, that must be welcome news for a team with so much potential.
