There was always an itching worry in the back of Cleveland Cavalier fans that their star LeBron James would be leaving them in free agency after this season concludes, but if this report is anything to go by, that worry should be more than just an itch.

Chris Sheridan, the man who guaranteed at the start of the season that LeBron would be leaving the Cavs after their 2017-18 campaign, and also the man who called James' move to Miami back in 2010 -- so he does have some credibility when it comes to LeBron rumors -- has gone on record to state the reason James would be leaving Cleveland after this season was due to the "beyond-repair" relationship with Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, something LeBron's camp outright denied.

But after the same sort of reports from various sources, Sheridan has only furthered his claims.

"When the information was given to me, my source said: “The entire NBA knows it. The only people who don’t are the media.”

The No. 1 reason why this is going to happen is because Cavs owner Dan Gilbert is a huge Trump supporter; LeBron is not."

It's no secret that LeBron is not a fan of US President Donald Trump, even going as far as calling Trump a bum on Twitter after revoking the Golden State Warriors invite to the White House this year.

It also should be noted that Gilbert is definitely a Trump fan, hosting a fundraiser for the president during his campaign, but also did the same thing for Hillary Clinton, hedging his bets so he would be in good standing with either candidate if they won the election.

Whether Dan Gilbert is a Trump supporter or not doesn't change a thing. As long as LeBron thinks Gilbert supports Trump and his policies, James is as good as gone.
