Report: Los Angeles Lakers Losing Hope To Get Anthony Davis Before The Trade Deadline

Anthony Davis

Los Angeles Lakers did everything they could to land Anthony Davis before the trade deadline, but the Pelicans didn't want to trade their best player.

According to multiple reports, the New Orleans Pelicans want Jayson Tatum and they will try to make a deal with the Boston Celtics.

The Lakers have offered their best trade package to the Pelicans, including Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, multiple draft picks and cap relief, but even that wasn't enough.

According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the big man star will probably stay in New Orleans.

Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that Los Angeles will land Davis before the trade deadline.

Last night Anthony Davis liked comment on Instagram about Lakers' final offer, and that was a real sign that he wants to play for them.

However, Anthony Davis will be a free agent in 2020, and then he can make his own decision about his future.

Per the latest report, he would like to sign an extension and play for the New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks.

If Danny Ainge sends Jayson Tatum to New Orleans, Davis will probably play one season for the Celtics.

If they don't get Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers already have the Plan B this summer.
