Report: One Member Of The Infamous Ball Family Arrested In China

Oh, the young and the stupid.

No matter how great things are for people, sometimes they still find a way to muck it all up. In this case, everyone involved should be fine, but it'll no doubt follow (and their reputation) them for years to come.

According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN, several UCLA men's basketball players have been arrested for shoplifting in China, just days before their season-opener against Georgia Tech in Shanghai on Friday.

Of the players involved is none other than LiAngelo Ball, younger brother of Lonzo, and son of the infamous LaVar. With hopes of one day translating his talents to the professional level, a stupid move like this might shut down some opportunities for the young baller.

Here's UCLA's official statement: "We are aware of a situation involving UCLA student-athletes in Hangzhou, China. The University is cooperating fully with local authorities on this matter, and we have no further comment at this time."

While it may not seem like a huge deal, it was enough to shut LaVar up as, when asked to comment on the situation, he refused to speak up on the matter, saying he "could not comment" at the time.

Sources close to the situation says the college players were "scared," and shared that it was being taken pretty seriously.

It's not yet known what further repercussions will fall on the players involved, but it's safe to say that it wasn't their finest hour.
