Report: Sixers Interviewed Familiar Name In GM Search

Publish date:

Here's an interesting fact: the 76ers still don't have a GM.

With the summer just about over (and with 40 days until the start of the new season), it seems urgent that they find a replacement soon. Though, for some reason or another, their most recent candidate, David Griffin (former GM of the Cavs), has been crossed off the list.

Here's the official report by Keith Pompey:

Judging by the report, Griffin would want control over basketball decisions, which (apparently) does not fit what the Sixers are looking for.

We don't know what other names the Sixers might have on their list right now, but only time will tell whether or not passing on Griffin was the right choice.

For their sake, it better be.
