Richard Jefferson Says Giannis Is A Pippen, Not A Jordan

2016 NBA champion Richard Jefferson had a brutal take on Giannis Antetokounmpo after Game 2 of the second-round series between the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks. Giannis has fallen short in two games against the Heat; the Floridians have dismantled him and it doesn't look like he has an answer for Erik Spoelstra's tactics.

RJ, who is now an NBA analyst for ESPN, took to Twitter to express his opinion on Giannis, urging the reigning NBA MVP to find a partner to be successful in the league. However, Jefferson didn't say Giannis needed a sidekick; in fact, he claimed Giannis would be the sidekick to a hero. The sharpshooter said the Greek Freak was more of a Pippen than a Jordan, so he'll never win without the right help.

"Giannis might be a Pippen.... there I said it! He needs his Jordan," Jefferson wrote on Wednesday night.

Giannis scored 18 points in Game 1 against the Heat and wasn't impactful on defense for his team. Last night, he dropped 29 on Miami, but that didn't help his side since the Bucks lost the game dramatically and controversially. He could join forces with another star in Milwaukee or anywhere else, but his role in the team would have to change, according to Jefferson. ESPN's Tim McMahon dropped an idea of who could be that Jordan for Giannis and if you take a look, that duo would be great to see.

Antetokounmpo averaged 29.5 points per game, 13.6 rebounds and 5.6 assists, which will probably earn him his second straight MVP award this year. He was great in the regular season but as soon as the postseason arrived, Giannis started to show his flaws.

He needs to step up as the Bucks are 2-0 down against the Heat.
