Russell Westbrook Leads OKC To Huge Upset Win Over Warriors

It was scrappy, it was tough, and it will likely go down as one of the best games of the year.

And, for a change, the Warriors actually lost.

Led by Westbrook, who tallied 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists in the win, the Thunder broke a previous losing streak and got the morale-boosting victory against the reigning champs.

It was Russ's first win against Kevin Durant, his former OKC teammate.

Originally questionable for tonight's matchup, Durant ended up playing, to add 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists in 32 mintutes of action.

The loss for the Warriors is shocking news, especially when you consider they already had five to begin the season. At 13-5, they're still good enough to maintain their place amongst the West's elite, but it put them behind the Rockets, who are on the verge of winning their fourth straight.

Is this win an indication that the Thunder are better than their record indicates? Or does it imply that the Warriors are simply not as dominant as they have been in recent years?

That, well, that is for us to decide.
