When people speak about the greatest of all time, they usually will mention LeBron James or Michael Jordan. LeBron even went as far as declaring he was the greatest ever in a recent documentary on ESPN about his incredible triumph in the 2016 NBA Finals.
However, Shaquille O’Neal has other thoughts on the debate, he doesn’t understand why the conversation is only about those two and doesn’t include others.
Per Bleacher Report:
"I find it quite disrespectful that they don't bring Kobe's name up" "That kind of pisses me off how they just skip over him and say, 'LeBron.' I don't understand that. Because I was there with him, and he was a bad motherf*cker, too."
Kobe Bryant and Shaq played at the Los Angeles Lakers together where they managed to win multiple championships. Both Hall of Fame players are considered two of the all-time greats of the game but a lot of times they are never mentioned in the same conversation as Jordan and LeBron.
Shaq never mentioned himself in the GOAT conversation and has mentioned that Kobe is in a class above him.
Maybe this is something that we should be considering more and that it’s not just a two horse race.
