It's no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers are pursuing multiple top-tier free agents this offseason, which is the case most offseasons for the Lakers it seems.
The two top names on LA's target list are LeBron James and Paul George, which hasn't been kept a secret either. PG has made his intentions known he would love to play in Los Angeles since the end of last season, and with all the young talent on display in LA, as well as a massive amount of cap room, LeBron isn't that much of a stretch either.
But according to Lakers legend Shaquille O'Neal, Paul George and LeBron James are almost guaranteed to land on the Lakers this offseason, as well as a few other notable names.
“I think Paul George ... He’s definitely going to the Lakers. Him and LeBron. You heard it here first. I’m gonna say this is just my opinion, LeBron, Paul George and there will be a couple of other big names that go to the Lakers organization.”
Obviously, we can't take Shaq's word as fact here, but considering he won three championships for the Lakers in the early 2000's, you can assume he has friends in high places within the organization, which means he may have an inside scoop here.
It's either that, or O'Neal is speculating just like the rest of us, and has no clue whether the Lakers will sign the two All-Stars. Only time will tell.
